CHRIST CHURCH OF CT
PARISH MESSAGE APRIL 2025

Dear Beloved in Christ,
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
As we journey deeper into this Lenten season, we prepare our hearts to enter Passion Week, a time of solemn reflection and divine grace. Let us turn our gaze upon the cross—where God's love meets us in the fullness of sacrifice and redemption. The cross is not merely a symbol of suffering; it is the culmination of God’s unwavering love—where mercy triumphs over judgment, grace surpasses condemnation, and reconciliation is made possible. May this season stir within us a deeper longing to walk in Christ’s love,
embodying the humility and surrender He modeled.

April’s Scripture Journey
Beginning April 1, we embark on a meaningful exploration of:
-
The Book of Mark (April 1 to 16) – Tracing the footsteps of Jesus as He fulfills His earthly mission.
-
The Book of Jonah (April 17 to 20) – Reflecting on God's unwavering mercy even amidst human
reluctance. -
1 & 2 Timothy (April 21 to 30) – Drawing wisdom for steadfast faith and leadership in a world longing
for guidance.
Appreciation for the Bible Quiz Team - A special word of appreciation goes to our Bible Quiz team for their dedicated participation in the Region 1 & 2 Women & Laity Retreat. Studying God’s Word is more than an intellectual pursuit—it is transformative, shaping lives and strengthening our witness. Your dedication inspires us all, and we celebrate the vibrant learning community you help cultivate.
May this month be one of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing in the love that binds us together in Christ. May the grace of God sustain us as we sojourn through His Word and grow deeper in faith.

Blessings and peace,
